Strong in the Lord

By Paula

dynamiteFinally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Ephesians 6:10

Paul says, “finally,” not because it’s the last step, but because it’s the summary, the takeaway, the key point you must not miss.

He doesn’t say toughen up, or pretend like it doesn’t bother you or it’s not hard.

He’s not saying be strong in temptation or trials. (Although from the outside, it will look like that’s what we’re doing.)

No, Paul has spent 5 chapters of Ephesians explaining that believers are IN CHRIST.

We know that…
We can cling to that with unshakeable resolve…
We can reject every whisper that would cause us to question God’s love…

Be strong. Be strengthened.
In the Lord, in the power of His might.
This is not a pep rally to flex the muscles of our faith.
It’s an encouragement, a reminder.
We are no longer in the world. We are in Christ.

We are IN HIM and He’s got us covered.
