The man had been born blind.
Think of that.
A lifetime of hardship and hopeless resignation.
A lifetime of doing without, of being misunderstood, of believing God must have hated him, cursed him, rejected him.
His life had been spent manifesting his own works.
Jesus said the man’s blindness would be redeemed.
God’s works, God’s power would be revealed in him.
We may not be blind, but we all have something.
Maybe we were born with it. Maybe it happened to us.
We struggle. We do the best we can.
But we question God’s love and His favor. We live like beggars.
All the time God is waiting to reveal His works in us.
