[R]enew a steadfast spirit within me. (Psalm 51:10b)
Steadfast.
It’s translated as “right,” “loyal,” ‘faithful.”
The Hebrew root also carries the ideas of being established, firm, stable, secure.
My mind, my attention, my devotion wanders.
The total opposite of steadfast.
Today, Lord, and every day I want my commitment to You to be steadfast.
In every sense.
Like Your commitment to me.
