Full of grace and truth. In a sense those two words encapsulate who Jesus is. They serve as shorthand for His mercy, compassion, love, righteousness, glory and more. But they also serve as the summary of Jesus’s message, of the gospel itself.
The truth is, there is no one who is righteous, not one. The grace is we have received the righteousness of Christ.
The truth is we are like sheep and every last one of us has gone his own way. The grace is, He is the Good Shepherd who gives His life for His sheep.
The truth is we can do nothing apart from Him. The grace is I can do all things through Christ and His strength.
The truth is we were slaves to sins. The grace is we are children of God and heirs of the kingdom.
The truth is, in our sinfulness, we could never approach a holy God. The grace is that Christ gives us access. He is the way.
The truth is we were enemies to God. The grace is Christ in love reconciled us.
The truth is we stumble around in darkness. Grace brings light
The truth is, we are hopeless without a Savior. The grace is Jesus is our Savior.
Truth shows us our great need. Grace meets that need, and so much more. Every single time.
