He has redeemed my soul in peace (shalom) from the battle that was against me, for there were many against me. Psalm 55:18
Mondays are hard.
Back into the fray.
The drama, the politics, the stress.
It doesn’t have to be that way.
Oh, the battle may still rage.
The hassles may not go away.
Well, let’s be honest. They won’t go away.
But we have a secret weapon.
Shalom is the Hebrew word for peace, but it means so much more.
It is respite. It is security. It is comfort and ease.
It is wholeness and well-being.
Jesus promises it to us.
It is beyond the peace the world gives.
It settles our hearts and removes our fear (John 14:27)
Because of Jehovah, it is ours.
