and I write about real-world faith–faith that isn’t perfect but is willing to struggle, to ask questions, and ultimately to answer the call to live beyond our limits.
In my books, the characters face some of the most difficult situations life can throw at us, things like adultery, loss of loved ones, and lawsuits among others, and they bring their pain, their doubts and their questions to God, trying to see if His word is true, if His promises are real. They are unlike any other Christian fiction.
In fact, I’d love to give you a copy of Contingency so you can see for yourself.
So many people question that Scripture is relevant, that it has the answers for us in this day and age, that it can speak to the deepest cries of our hearts.
I believe God's word IS relevant, it DOES have the answers for us even in this day and age and it absolutely CAN speak to the deepest cries of our hearts.
Whether it's fiction or non-fiction, I write to demonstrate that.
On my blog, I'll help you apply God's truth to your own life, just like Phil or Donna or Glen help Bobbi, Chuck and the others. I post three-ish times a week on topics ranging from quick devotions and object lessons to worship and theology to occasional insider book news. Want to join us? True confession - I hang out some online places (like Facebook) far more often than others (like LinkedIn). I bet you do, too. But I'm not cool enough for Instagram or Snapchat.
